Frequently asked questions
Answers grounded in what the app actually does today. If yours isn’t here, email us.
Where is my data — is it backed up or synced?
LifeOS is local-first: your data lives on your iPhone, not in a LifeOS account or cloud. There's no sign-in, so there's nothing to log into on another device.
Because it's on your device, your data is included in your normal iPhone backup (iCloud or Finder) and in a device-to-device transfer. If you switch phones, restoring from that backup brings your LifeOS data along. There is no separate account to sign into.
How do I delete my data?
Open the You tab and, under the danger zone, tap “Delete My Data” and confirm. That permanently erases everything the app holds on your device — your content, coach notes, preferences, scheduled notifications, and widget data.
Because there's no LifeOS account or cloud copy, there's nothing on a server for us to delete. Deleting the app from your iPhone also removes its local data. Need a hand? Email us.
The coach isn't helping or responding
During the beta the coach runs entirely on your iPhone, so it doesn't need an internet connection. If replies stop, you've likely reached the free daily message limit — you'll see a short in-app notice (not a paywall). LifeOS Pro raises the limit.
Cloud AI features aren't switched on during the beta. If the coach behaves oddly, close and reopen the app, and email us with what you asked so we can look into it.
Can I scan a photo of my meal?
Not yet. Photo-based meal scanning needs an AI backend that isn't enabled during the beta, so the feature isn't available in this build.
For now, log meals by hand and set macro goals — that works today, offline. Photo scanning is planned, and we'll announce it when it's ready.
I'm not getting notifications
LifeOS's reminders are local notifications, so they need notification permission enabled for LifeOS in Settings. Check that they're allowed, and that Focus, Do Not Disturb, or Low Power Mode isn't silencing them.
If reminders still don't arrive, email us with your iPhone model and iOS version so we can help track it down.
Restoring purchases and managing a subscription
LifeOS is an iPhone app, and LifeOS Pro subscriptions are billed and managed by Apple — not by us. During the beta, LifeOS Pro isn't available to purchase yet, and every core feature is free.
When subscriptions are live, you'll restore them from the app's settings while signed in to the same Apple ID you purchased with, and you can view, change, or cancel from your App Store account. For billing or refund questions, Apple handles those through your account.
Is there an Android version?
Not yet — LifeOS is an iPhone app and needs iOS 17 or later. An Android version is coming later, but there isn't one today.
Does it connect to Apple Health?
No. LifeOS doesn't read Apple Health. Body weight and nutrition are entered by you, and the app labels them that way — it never claims to pull them from Health.
